• Raman and Absorption Spectroscopy of Organometallic Compounds and Biological System

There is actually a growing interest in the use of lasers in the educational process, both in chemical and physical undergraduate laboratories. Students are fascinated by the idea of lasers. Students undertaken projects involving lasers absorb one why or another the key feature of a variety of areas such as spectroscopy, kinetics and quantum mechanics

In this project students will investigate organometallic compound to determine spectroscopic constants namely dissociation constants and vibrational frequencies and also study biological molecules thoroughly through their chemical reactivities. The ultimate goal is to give students the opportunity to have hands on experience in a research lab environment

•   Computational Chemistry

      Theoretical studies of compounds using Spartan which is a molecular modeling program.
